Tinker Trays π
This morning we really enjoyed using loose parts in our role play, so i put together a couple of tinker trays with a few different bits and pieces to incorporate into our play.
We had a selection of scarves, shakers, clips, ribbons and beads. Ava and Leah loved the sparkly box of chocolates filled with resin pieces!
We used the loose parts to create a road, towers and to dress up. We enjoyed finding out how each piece worked before we decided what we might do with them. We made sure we had lots of space to investigate - Margot loved rolling the beads across the floor!
We developed our own ideas but also played so nicely and imaginatively as a group, sharing different things and helping one another to achieve a goal.
We transported objects between the trays, working out how different things might fit in different places.
Dani, Margot and Elijah created a βtownβ in the chocolate box lid. It really was amazing to see the different ideas each child had from just a few bits and pieces.
