Treasure Hunting & Letter Matching 🔠 🏴☠️
This morning we decided to draw our own treasure maps and head out for a walk to see what we could find…
We were very excited to see what we would find, we decided to head to the garages and follow our maps.
We found lots of flowers, rocks, leaves and other objects. We decided to match each thing to the colours on our treasure map so we would know that we had found everything on our map.
Jasper was very sure that we would find ‘golden dabloons’ if we were able to match all the colours on our maps.
We were very excited to find a secret pathway behind the garages, it had lots of pretty flowers.
There were also lots of stinging nettles so we came up with a plan to come back another time to cut back the stinging nettles and explore further down the path!
This afternoon we enjoyed a little letter recognition and matching activity. We are so interested in identifying the letters in our names so we had lots of fun choosing the correct letter and chatting about our favourite letters.
