We have had another very busy day at nursery today!
We started off our morning with some ‘treasure’ sticking using gems and metallic paper. We loved adding lots of pretty colours to our pictures and deciding who we will give them to.
We had a tough time with the busy boards, some of the locks are very difficult. These kept us busy for quite a while - we kept on trying until we had worked out each mechanism.
We enjoyed letter and number matching with our typewriter and telephone. We took some notes and chatted to one another on the phone while we got on with our work.
We made some amazing towers with the maths cubes, Theodora decided her tower was actually a snake!
Our favourite activities were the laundry role play and potion making. We used dressing up as our laundry, waited for it to go through the washing machine, popped it into the tumble dryer and then ironed it so it was ready to play with next week. For our potions, we used a range of pots and baskets and added stones, dried citrus fruit, herbal tea bags and wood slices to create magical stews! We loved weighing out our ingredients on the scales and using wooden spoons to stir it all together.
