Exploring Conkers 🍂
This morning we enjoyed rolling with conkers.
We trialled each conker to see if it was the right shape to roll, some were a little too bumpy and some were so smooth they rolled right off the table!
We added our wooden ramps and practiced rolling until we got it just right for the conkers to go over the bridge perfectly!
We also tried rolling with wooden slices and rolling to one another across the table.
We practiced so many skills with just a bowl full of conkers! We were motivated to try out our own ideas, we problem solved, worked as a team and used lots of mathematical language related to shape and size.
We used our bridges as ramps on the cable reels - the hole in the center was the goal! We had so much fun trying to score and catching the run away conkers.
